Stacked Arpeggios

Stacked Arpeggios

  • These arpeggios are a combination of minor7, symmetrical patterns, and major and minor arpeggios of other modal keys all played together as one arpeggio. You are basically playing notes of the C Aeolian or Dorian mode but approaching them from a sweeping/arpeggio angle.

  • Keep in mind that you can use all these identical runs over all related modal keys of C Aeolian: D Locrian, Eb major (Ionian), F Dorian, G Phrygian, Ab Lydian, Bb Mixolydian

Or If you are thinking in terms of C Dorian, then the related keys are: D Phrygian, Eb Lydian, F Mixolydian, G Aeolian, A Locrian, Bb major (Ionian)
