The Whole Tone scale

  • The Whole Tone scale is actually the easiest possible scale that you can learn on the guitar.

  • It's a 6 note scale.

  • This is a scale with just 1 scale pattern that keeps repeating. Therefore it is called a "symmetrical" scale.

  • This scale does not have modes - because every mode of this scale sounds exactly the same.
